BRL Poised for Growth with Recruitment Drive

BRL appointments

Representing a 35% growth to the BRL team, we are poised for expansion following a recruitment drive. In the spring/summer, we recruited for 12 new permanent roles, the majority of whom are now in post, and made four new appointments to the Leadership Group.

This strategic growth in the team comes at an extremely exciting point in the project as we scale up to unlock future plots at Barking Riverside, with the support of our stakeholders. The opportunity to learn and be part of a unique team and project is rare, and the milestones coming up over the next 18 months really show our ambition for the project.

Forming a new Executive Team supporting Managing Director Matt Carpen are Andrew Carrington and Paul Miller. Andrew, who had been working with us as consultant, brings with him extensive land experience having spent 16 years at Countryside. He steps into the Deputy Managing Director – Strategic Delivery remit. Paul, previously Finance Director at BRL, is promoted to Deputy Managing Director – Business Strategy and Finance.

In addition, joining as Finance Director is Neil Perrins, who has previous experience as both Director of Resources at Golding Homes and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis at TfL. A fourth senior appointment, Kitty Mortimer is promoted from Head of Land and Assets, to Land Director, having joined the BRL team two years ago.

Neil and Kitty join our existing directors, Louis Chau – Infrastructure Director, David Watkinson – Planning, Design & Communications Director, and Pamela Ross – Estates Director.

Our new Executive Team, Directors, and wider team members look forward to continued working and partnership with our friends and colleagues.
