Barking Riverside is one of the few places in London where you can find an Overground station, a river bus pier, bus routes and cycling routes – all within a 300m radius.
RAIL LINKS
The Suffragette Overground line extends from Gospel Oak in North West London to Barking Riverside. Travel time between Barking Riverside and Barking station is only 6 minutes. Barking station provides access to the Hammersmith & City and District lines, and the c2c train service from Essex to Fenchurch Street. Connections are also available to the Elizabeth line (Wanstead Park/Forest Gate) and the Victoria Line (Blackhorse Road).
RIVER BUS SERVICE
Uber Boat by Thames Clippers operates a river bus service from the new Barking Riverside Pier, providing a unique way to access central London. The Barking Riverside Pier is the most eastern stop of the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers network, with services running all week and with increased frequency at weekends.
24-HOUR BUS SERVICE
The EL1, EL2 and EL3 provide a 24-hour bus service into Barking town centre and to Barking station, taking 20–25 minutes during peak times.
CYCLING AND CAR SHARING
An existing network of cycle paths has recently been enhanced by Cycleway 42, connecting Barking Riverside to Barking town centre and Ilford.
The local Dr Bike cycle hub sharing scheme offers a free bike repair service.
A car club – a shared vehicle service for residents and businesses – is provided by Enterprise Car Club.
