The importance of health and wellbeing is a core factor in BRL’s efforts to maintaining a flourishing community.
Cycling infrastructure is currently seeing significant improvements at Barking Riverside, with new cycling paths forming, the potential for an e-bike scheme to launch in the area, and the overall enhancement to Barking Riverside’s transport interchange well underway.
This year has already seen considerable landmarks completed by the infrastructure team, as we continue to make headway in delivering new homes and facilities at Barking Riverside.
This summer sees the activation of Barking Riverside’s riverfront with the ‘Summer Sessions’—10 weeks of food, drinks, activities and events all happening alongside the River Thames.
Throughout the years, Barking Riverside has changed immensely, from brownfield land, to a destination with multiple modes of transport, schools, community hubs and thousands of homes.

We are delighted to welcome Steve Moseley and Anna Casbolt to the Board of Barking Riverside Limited, as well as Jason Wong who has joined us as Operations Director.
We are pleased to continue our focus on delivering social impact projects at Barking Riverside this year, with further community research being successfully progressed at the start of 2023.
This February, Barking Riverside hosted two social events at The Wilds that showcased the community’s drive to come together.
