The latest Thames Talks polls are now underway.
Results are coming soon!
With the second round of voting now closed, keep an eye out for the results to see which local Riverside group will benefit from the funds. Now in its second term, Thames Talk is an exciting community engagement platform was set-up by BRL last year to directly involve local residents in decisions made for you at Thames Ward.
Thames Talk has since become a powerful tool for Riverside residents to share their thoughts and ideas on what’s happening in this vibrant East London district. What you say will help influence decisions in this area. What’s more, by taking part in the discussion, and helping shape the future of Barking Riverside, participants automatically receive digital 'coins' which are then donated in return for real cash rewards for local groups.
Almost 1,000 Riverside residents took part in the first round of this lively initiative. In return, the BRL community fund awarded each of the nominated charities. All four groups - Triangoals, The Mens Shed Project, the local Scouts, and Mums on a Mission – have now received grants to help deliver their future activities and projects.
