Recruiting for New Community Researchers
BRL Peer Research leaflet FINALThames Futures is a project commissioned by BRL, in partnership with The Young Foundation and local people. Over the course of a year, a team of Community Researchers spoke to over 400 residents about the hopes and dreams that people have for the area. The research created a Community Vision, which will be used to ensure that decisions made about the development at Barking Riverside have a positive social impact for everyone living, working and growing up in Thames Ward. You can read the original vision and 9 community priorities here.
We are currently recruiting for a new group of Community Researchers to conduct the next round of research in Thames Ward over the next few months. Supported by the Young Foundation, Community Researchers will interview and carry out creative engagement with other residents of Thames View and Barking Riverside. This research will be used to further develop and refine our Community Vision, ensuring that it is up to date and reflects all of our residents.
No previous experience is required – our Community Researchers will receive research training from the Young Foundation. We are just looking for local residents who care about making Thames Ward a great place to live. The role will be paid London Living Wage (£11.05 p/h).
