Calling all residents!

Are you a resident with a passion for organising events, bringing the community together and planning things to do in your area? Then we want to hear from you.

We are looking for active and engaged residents of Barking Riverside and Thames Ward to become members of the Resident Events Panel. This group will work in partnership with the BRL team to shape the future programme of events for the neighbourhood.

We want to make sure that we are always delivering the kind of activities that people want to see in the area. The Resident Events Panel will share their ideas with us about what events we should be running in the future and help us organise upcoming events.
From summer picnics to winter markets and everything in between, we want your help to make sure our events and activities for local people are fun, engaging and relevant.

All members of the Resident Events Panel will be reimbursed for their time with shopping vouchers, equivalent to the value of London Living Wage.

Terms and Conditions

• Meetings with the Residents Events Panel will take place during weekdays or weekday evenings. Events may take place during weekday evenings or weekends. Members must have some availability during these times to attend meetings or offer support on the day of events. Members do not have to attend all meetings or events, and can choose how much time they commit.
• Members will be reimbursed for their time with shopping vouchers, equivalent to the value of London Living Wage. Participants will be paid for their time after the event is completed.
• Members must be over 18.
