BRL have been fully operating during COVID-19 and our dedicated team are available to all Barking Riverside residents and members of the local community. In-line with government guidelines, the BRL staff continue to work from their homes, using technology to connect as a team and continue to serve the community responding, and taking action where necessary. We have been reaching out to Riverside community groups to assess how best we can continue to support our local residents during these difficult times. Following the temporary pause to the main Barking Riverside construction works at the start of the initial lockdown period, in order to minimise delays to the construction programme, following government guidelines some building works have restarted across the site. We are working with our partners, including L&Q and TfL, to reopen further areas at Barking Riverside when it is safe to do so. You will be noticing more activity in the area over the coming weeks.
BRL have introduced social distancing markers outside of the retail units in Rivergate Square, at the Rivergate Centre, and at bus stops around the estate. We ask all residents to kindly follow these markers to maintain safe distances and to help stop the spread of the virus at Barking Riverside. The health and safety of our residents, local people, and the construction teams working on-site is of the utmost importance to us.
