The Barking Riverside Overground Station is the first stop of the Gospel Oak to Barking Riverside Overground line, ending next to Hampstead Heath in North West London. The District line, Hammersmith and City line and c2v service from Essex to Fenchurch Street can be accessed from Barking Station, a 6 minutes rail journey from Barking Riverside. The Victoria line can be accessed at Blackhorse Road Station, also on the Overground line.

Uber Boat by Thames Clippers delivers a river bus service from the new Barking Riverside pier, providing a unique way to access central London. The Barking Riverside pier is the most eastern stop of the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers network, with services running during the AM and PM at peak times, and all day on the weekends. The service directly connects Barking Riverside to river landmarks such as Canary Wharf, Greenwich, Tower of London, Embankment and beyond.

Barking Riverside benefits from 24-hour bus services. The area is served by the EL1, EL2 and EL3 bus routes. These connect directly to Dagenham Dock, Ilford Station, Becontree Heath Leisure Centre, Chadwell Heath Lane and Barking Station.
