DESCRIPTION:Barking Riverside Pier Community DayTo celebrate the opening of the Barking Riverside pier in 2022\, BRL and Uber Boat by Thames Clippers will host a community day for residents and people from the local area on Wednesday 20th July. \nTaking place between 3pm – 7pm\, guests will get the chance to see one of the Uber Boat by Thames Clippers vessels in person whilst enjoying a variety of different activities from face painting and a photo booth\, to drinks and dance performances by local group\, Pullums. \nA range of local experts will also be hand delivering informative talks about the local area and natural environment: one by a Blue Badge Guide specialising in the River Thames\, and one by David Hope-Thomson\, Principal Ecologist at Arcus. \nFor the duration of the event\, a boat will remain docked at the pier\, so that guests can get on board to tour the vessel and ask questions about the new service. A full bar will be available on the boat\, where guests can purchase both alcoholic and soft drinks and also snacks. \nWe look forward to welcoming residents down onto the pier to a fun community day\, marking the milestone opening of the new Uber Boat by Thames Clippers service for Barking Riverside. No tickets required – simply turn up on the day!
