Barking Riverside Celebrates Success at The Inside Housing Development Awards

We are proud to announce that Barking Riverside won the “Best Partnership – 100+ homes” category at the prestigious Inside Housing Development Awards 2023.

The annual awards ceremony celebrates the housing industry and its determination to tackle the UK’s housing crisis. From housing associations, local authorities, architects and developers, the awards focus on a commitment to long-term sustainability and community.

Barking Riverside Limited led the award submission supported by our partners - L&Q, The Mayor of London, Transport for London and the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.

A place that would not be possible without partnership, this new East London neighbourhood is being delivered by master developers Barking Riverside Limited (BRL) - a joint venture between L&Q and the Mayor of London. Beyond the JV itself, the development brings together a wealth of other partners, from TfL to local people.

The result is a growing neighbourhood, meeting the capital’s affordable housing need with a positive social impact on the wider community. The common threads running through the multitude of partnerships here at Barking Riverside include brilliant leadership and talented supporting teams; alignment of key social values;, dedication to patient capital and commitment to public interest and placemaking.
