Lighting up Barking this November, there are a series of exciting Winter Lights events bringing local communities together.
Barking Riverside and Thames View Community Fireworks Display is being presented by the Barking Riverside Residents Events Panel on Tuesday 5th November. This is the third annual fireworks display for Thames Ward residents. www.facebook.com/barkingriversidelondon
On Friday 8th and Saturday 9th November, Creative Barking and Dagenham’s GLOW Festival makes a much-anticipated return to Eastbury Manor House. #GLOW2019 explores the theme of Illusion with a night of magical lanterns, projections and installations produced by the Creative Barking and Dagenham Cultural Connectors.

Saturday 9th November marks the borough’s first Guy Fawkes Lantern Parade. Groups and families will take part in a procession of light from Barking Town Square to GLOW Festival at Eastbury Manor House. The procession starts at 3:15 pm and will illuminate the dark winter’s night with live music and entertainment for all the family. Later in November, Barking Riverside London is presenting the London debut of an award-winning light installation, in partnership with Lumen Art Projects. Barking Riverside Presents Seb Lee-Delisle’s Laser Light Synths is an interactive family-friendly laser show taking place at the Barking Riverside Project Office on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd November 2019.
The event will also feature giant puppet performances from Big Dancers by El Carromato, presented by Creative Barking and Dagenham with support from Global Streets.
